MBA's with a sense of humor

A close friend back in Delhi is applying to ISB, looking at his application, there is one annexure "3. EVALUATION FORM" which is supposed to have professional recommendations.

It has some 9 global questions but the one that takes the cake is:
[I'm not joking, it is seriously there...]
6. How would you describe the applicant’s sense of humuor ?

Now, what has ISB got to do with an applicants sense of humor??? Is it preparing people for the 'Great Indian Laughter Show' or what?

I'm really interested in knowing how does an applicants chances of getting an admit get affected by his sense of humor?

And how many applicants have they admitted in the past whose recommendations said that they have a 'bad sense of humor' ;)

Beats me...

For the moment, the Monkey is off the back!

How would an FMCG company react when it is confronted with an application of an IT veteran of three years? Simple, Reject it...

But one well known company headquartered in East-India didn't worry about the past, gave me a fair chance and here I am, I'll spend the next summer selling cigarettes in some nondescript town in the hinterlands...

Actually, I'm quite happy about it. For it gives me a chance to see if my inclination towards a career in Mark is all fluff or is there some real stuff to it...

Come April, I'll be there and I'll take the bull by its horns, Rearing to go...

P.S. Hope to resume normal blogging, just fell out of the habit!
